This retreat is also appropriate for anyone who has suffered from the loss of a family, a parent\u2019s addiction, neglect or abandonment experiences, being bullied in childhood, distressing medical problems or mental illness, traumatic death events, violence, divorce, or abuse by an authority figure or member of the clergy, government, or education system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have suffered trauma from an authority figure in the Church or in a religious community. We will help you work through your anger in order to release the grief, powerlessness, and spiritual conflicts that impact your trust. While we\u2019re not a campaign group against the Church, we will never defend using the Church, priesthood, or religious life as a cover for sexual or spiritual abuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abuse often involves shame, keeping secrets, or fear of speaking the truth about terrifying experiences from the past. By going through the program within a supportive group dynamic, participants recognize that they all share many of the same wounds. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The group becomes a powerful source of healing as they identify their life patterns that were rooted in abuse and their survivor modes and triggers that continue to hijack their nervous system into states of fight, flight, freeze, and collapse.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> As they practice new responses and untwist the lies of abuse, a great deal of fear, shame, and blame falls away.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grief to Grace<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TM<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a powerful psychological and spiritual journey that provides safety and hope in the midst of emotional chaos. It supplies a model of care that\u2019s described as therapy for the soul. This effective and supportive healing process combines <\/span>Living Scripture <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">meditations<\/span><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">journaling, group discussion, facilitation, and somatic therapy using art, music, and body movement, as well as creative grief work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our retreat programs are offered in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental group format.
